FAQs

What are the different training levels offered?

We offer all levels of training from basic hands-only CPR to those requiring certification for their employer at the basic and healthcare provider level for both first aid and CPR training.

How long do the training sessions last?

Our training sessions last approximately 2 hours for hands-only CPR, 2 1/2 hours for certified CPR/AED training, 5 hours for first aid and certified CPR/AED training, and 2 1/2 hours for first aid training only. Basic life support (BLS) training for healthcare providers is approximately 4 hours and with first aid training it increases to approximately 6 1/2 hours. All certifications are good for 2 years. Training materials and certification cards are included with the total cost. Cards will be issued approximately 5 days after successfully completing the training.

Note: All healthcare providers are required to pass skills testing and a written test without any assistance from the instructors. You can also do online training through the American Heart Association. However, you will have to do an in-person skills testing by a certified instructor. Heathcare BLS Provider cards may take up to 10 days before receiving an e-card by email after course completion. E-cards are actual cards that must be claimed and printed out as proof of successfully taking and passing the course.
